Four Louisiana Teens Arrested for Allegedly Stealing a Vehicle and Burglarizing Several Other Vehicles

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on September 7, 2022, that deputies arrested four teenagers aged 13, 15, and 19 on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, after they reportedly burglarized at least seven vehicles.

Caddo patrol deputies were summoned shortly after 3 a.m. on Tuesday to the 4300 block of Roy Road in Blanchard, Louisiana where apartment tenants reported intruders stealing coins and prescription medicines from parked vehicles. Deputies scoured the area and apprehended a 13-year-old juvenile who was fleeing. Three more individuals were apprehended on Hilry Huckabee Avenue in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Deputies discovered two handguns, a rifle, and a 2020 Dodge Charger that had been reported stolen out of Texarkana on August 31.

According to Caddo detectives, the two juveniles used the stolen car to pick up Lorenzo Oliver, 19, and Brandon Tyler, 19, and then drove to the Corridor Apartments to commit the crimes. Sheriff Steve Prator indicated that the vehicles stolen from were all unlocked.

“I’m proud of the great work our deputies are doing in catching these thieves, but we need your help,” Prator said. “Lock your cars and don’t keep guns or valuables in your vehicles. Install surveillance cameras and be a nosey neighbor. Pay attention!”

The juveniles were booked into the Caddo Parish Juvenile Detention Center while Oliver and Tyler were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
