Four Louisiana Teens Arrested Following an Early Morning Shootout at an Apartment Complex
The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on August 30, 2022, that deputies had four juveniles in custody following a shootout at an apartment complex early Tuesday.
Just after 4:30 a.m., the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office received a report of shots fired. Patrol deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of North Forty Loop. According to the preliminary inquiry, an unknown person with a gun approached a Grand Oaks Apartments resident who was standing outside by his car. The suspect and the victim exchanged gunfire before fleeing into the woods.
The search involved at least 20 deputies at one time. Deputies apprehended the first suspect immediately after arriving. The second and third suspects were apprehended by K9 Nero and Deputy Mendolia, while the fourth suspect was later apprehended near the apartments.
Four firearms and two stolen vehicles were recovered by deputies. The four juveniles are suspected of being responsible for vehicle burglaries that occurred earlier on August 30 in Blanchard and Shreveport.

Caddo investigators are questioning the suspects. More information will be released when it becomes available.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
