Four From Louisiana Arrested in Connection with Possession of Methamphetamine, Heroin, and Other Controlled Substances

Jennings, Louisiana – The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office reported on September 16, 2022, that detectives executed a search warrant at a home on Lucy Street in Jennings, Louisiana, on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Detectives have been looking into the location for some time due to reports of narcotics activities. Detectives used the search warrant to find and recover suspected methamphetamine, heroin, and other controlled substances at the property.

Emile Joseph Hawkins, 50, of General Street in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Charles Grady Daniels 60, of Lucy Street in Jennings, Louisiana, Angella K. Bryant, 45, of Sheridan Street in Jennings, Louisiana, and Gary Sterling Hill, 52, of Ledoux Street in Jennings, Louisiana were arrested. The charges include possession of Heroin, possession of CDS Schedule II, possession of CDS Schedule IV, possession of CDS Schedule V, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies searched the residence and reportedly discovered 14.6 grams of a crystal-like substance suspected of being methamphetamine, a Schedule II narcotic, 4.3 grams of a brown powdery substance suspected of being heroin, a Schedule I narcotic, 2 pink oval pills identified as Alprazolam (Xanax), a Schedule IV narcotic, and 30 yellow capsules suspected of being Gabapentin, a Schedule V narcotic, several smoking devices.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
