Former Pastor Arrested for Alleged Theft at First Assembly of God Church in Leesville, Louisiana

Leesville, Louisiana – The Louisiana State Police Bureau of Investigations/Alexandria Field Office (LSP AFO) has made significant progress in the investigation of a theft at the First Assembly of God Church in Leesville, Louisiana. The case involves the former pastor, Dock Jack Osteen III, who has been identified as the primary suspect in the monetary funds theft.

According to the Vernon Parish Sheriff’s Office, the investigation was triggered by a reported theft at the church, prompting LSP AFO to step in and take over the case. Through investigative efforts and the gathering of information, it was determined that Osteen was allegedly responsible for the misappropriation of funds.

In response to the findings, LSP AFO obtained a warrant for Osteen’s arrest for theft of under $25,000. On July 12, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office in Florida successfully apprehended Osteen based on the outstanding warrant. Osteen is currently in custody in Florida, awaiting extradition back to Vernon Parish to face the charges.
