Florida Man and Dog in Custody After Multi-Agency Vehicle Pursuit in Louisiana

Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana – A Florida man and his dog are in custody after a multi-agency vehicle pursuit in Louisiana.

On April 4, 2023, the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies said a pursuit involving a motorcyclist in Sabine Parish and then into Natchitoches Parish ended with one individual under arrest.

According to reports, the chase began following an incident at a Louisiana business.

At 11:52 a.m., the Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Office contacted the NATCOM 911 Center, requesting assistance in reporting Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Deputies were in pursuit of a motorcycle on Louisiana Hwy 6 entering Natchitoches Parish. Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies joined the pursuit as it continued eastbound through Robeline, Hagewood, and the I-49 corridor to near Parc Natchitoches.

The motorcyclist and his passenger, a dog, then headed westbound and returned through Hagewood and Robeline until being stopped in Sabine Parish. According to investigators, the suspect from Florida was apprehended without incident after he stopped and there were no injuries.

Robeline Police and Louisiana State Police aided.

Sabine Parish Sheriff’s Deputies delivered the dog to the Sabine Humane Society for safety until the suspect is released.
