Five Louisiana Teens Charged in More Than a Dozen Vehicle Burglaries
Thibodaux, Louisiana – On January 19, 2023, Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre announced that five teenagers had been charged earlier in the week in connection with vehicle burglaries in the Thibodaux, Louisiana area.
More than a dozen vehicle burglaries occurred in and around Thibodaux’s Abby Lakes Subdivision and Abbey Heights Subdivision on January 16, 2023. Detectives identified five juveniles, ages 15 to 17, as suspects in the crimes after conducting an investigation. For the vehicle burglaries, each of them was charged accordingly.
The majority of the stolen items, including some firearms, have been recovered. Detectives are continuing their investigation in order to recover additional stolen property.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. A person is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
