Fire Weather Watch Issued for Southwest Louisiana
On April 6, 2022, the National Weather Service reported that Thursday, April 7, from 10 am until 6 pm low relative humidities (between 15 and 25 percent) and gusty northwest winds (10 to 20 MPH with gusts to 30 MPH) will combine to produce an elevated threat for critical fire weather conditions. The Red Flag Warning and Fire Weather Watch mean that critical fire weather conditions can be expected, and any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended!
