Film ‘Jacob’s Brother’ Launches Funding Campaign
Film About Lake Charles Comedian Struggling with Mental Illness Starts Funding Campaign
The film Jacob’s Brother about an aspiring comedian recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder has started their funding campaign for production. The film is being produced mostly by local talent and is based on the struggles of Tim Rafferty, who is from Lake Charles. Tim, as well as the writer and director Brian Bourque, moved to Hollywood to pursue careers in the film industry, but plan on filming Jacob’s Brother in Lake Charles.
Their funding campaign offers several incentives to anyone who contributes. Each incentive is named after a deceased comedian who suffered from a mental illness. You can pledge any amount to the film, but the lowest amount to receive one of the incentives is $10 which will get you a shout-out on social media and your name in the credits of the film.
