Ferry Service in Cameron Suspended for Approximately Eight Weeks

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the ferry located in Cameron will be out of service for approximately eight weeks for mechanical repairs. The M/V Acadia requires propulsion system repairs and must be dry-docked to further assess the damage and complete repairs.
Detour routes for Cameron Ferry closure:
- Eastbound traffic may detour LA 27 north to LA 1256 north to take I-10 eastbound to US 171 south to LA 14 south to LA 27 south.
- Westbound traffic may detour to LA 27 north to LA 14 north to US 171 north to take I-10 westbound to LA 1256 south to LA 27 south.
