The incident occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. when Troopers with Louisiana State Police Troop I responded to the scene.

According to the preliminary investigation, Noel was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 northbound on LA 93 when, for reasons still unknown, the vehicle veered off the road to the right and entered a large private pond, becoming fully submerged.
