Fatal Crash in Starks Claims Life of Texas Man

Starks, Louisiana - On February 5, 2025, Louisiana State Police Troop D began an investigation into a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. on Louisiana Highway 109, near Lewis Cutoff Road. The incident resulted in the death of 33-year-old Jerrad Eisenbach, a resident of Cross Plains, Texas.

According to preliminary findings, Eisenbach was driving a 2021 Buick Enclave northbound on LA Hwy 109 when, for reasons that are still being determined, the vehicle crossed the centerline. Subsequently, the Buick veered off the roadway to the left and collided with a tree.

Jerrad Eisenbach was properly restrained at the time of the crash. Unfortunately, he sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency personnel.

In accordance with standard investigative procedures, a toxicology sample was collected from the deceased driver and will be analyzed to determine if substances may have played a role in the incident. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are working to gather more information regarding the circumstances surrounding the crash.
