Facebook Logs Out Thousands of iPhone Users

Many iPhone users have reported that they have experienced issues with the Facebook app. The problem most users are reporting is quite minor, in that they have been logged out of the app, and are now forced to log back in. This wouldn’t be unusual if it were happening to only a few users, but it appears that thousands of iPhone users are being automatically logged out of the app. While most users are able to easily log back into their Facebook account, some users have said they are seeing errors and unable to log-in.
The issue appears to have started sometime around 8:30 PM central time.
Facebook indicated that they believe this was caused by a configuration change and are working to get things back to normal.
A similar incident occurred in 2018 when Facebook forced many users to log out due to a security issue with one of their features.
