Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – Lake Charles and the rest of Southwest Louisiana are preparing for a weekend filled with various events, activities, and entertainment options for people of all ages. From Halloween-themed parties and festivals to art exhibitions, live music performances, and storytelling contests, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

On Friday, October 25, the Sulphur Library will host a BINGO event for adults from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. Meanwhile, the Central Library will have a “Doodles and Donuts” event from 9:30 am to 10:30 am. In the evening, the Kiwanis Club of Lake Charles will host a “Spooktacular” event at Crying Eagle Brewery from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

For those interested in business and entrepreneurship, the Lake Charles City Council Chambers will host a seminar on “Doing Business with Local Government and Affiliates” as part of the LC Small Business Development Week. The event will take place from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Art enthusiasts can look forward to the “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” photography exhibition at the Gallery by the Lake, which will run until November 30. The exhibition features a collection of photographs showcasing the best works of local artists.

The weekend will also see several Halloween-themed events, including the Crying Eagle Brewing’s Annual Halloween Bash on October 26 and the Halloween Party at Ole HabitZ on the same day. Families can enjoy the Trunk or Treat event at PT’s Snoballs Coffee & Ice Cream on October 26, while the First United Methodist Church will host a Trunk or Treat event on October 27.

Music lovers can look forward to live performances at various venues, including the Max Restaurant at The National, Cajun’s Wharf Grill & Bar, and the Panorama Music House. The Pajama Jam Open Mic event at the Panorama Music House on October 27 promises to be a fun event for music enthusiasts.

In addition to these events, the communities will also host several recurring events, including the Charlestown Farmers Market (Downtown) on October 26, the Sunday Fun Day Zydeco Brunch with Zydecane at Rikenjaks on October 27, and the Sunday Jazz Brunch at Luna Bar & Grill Downtown on the same day.
