Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that LA 27 at Ellender Bridge (MM 72) in Calcasieu Parish will undergo alternating lane closures from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, starting Thursday, August 1, 2024, and continuing through Friday, August 2, 2024.

The closures are necessary to facilitate essential maintenance work on the bridge, including operator house work and bridge painting. These tasks are crucial to ensuring the safety and integrity of the bridge structure.
