Driver in Louisiana Arrested for Alleged Possession of Cocaine and Other Crimes After Being Pulled Over by Vinton Police Officer for Traffic Violation
Vinton, Louisiana – A driver in Louisiana has been arrested for alleged possession of cocaine and other crimes after being pulled over by a Vinton Police Officer for a traffic violation.
The Vinton Police Department reported on April 3, 2023, that on April 1, at about 11:00 PM, an officer was patrolling the vicinity of Center Street and West Street when he reportedly spotted a motorist commit a traffic violation.
According to reports, the officer initiated a traffic stop in the 1900 block of Center Street and established probable cause to search the vehicle. Officers discovered cocaine, drug paraphernalia, and marijuana inside the vehicle. The driver, identified as Dealin Carpenter, 27, was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center suspected of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of CDS II, Possession of Marijuana under 14 grams, and a traffic violation.
Vinton Police Officer Thorpe was the arresting officer.
