Double Homicide Being Investigated by Detectives in Louisiana After Two Were Shot and Killed in Baton Rouge

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – A double homicide is being investigated by detectives in Louisiana after two victims were shot and killed in Baton Rouge.

The Baton Rouge Police Homicide Detectives are currently engaged in an active investigation into the tragic shooting incident that took place on June 26, 2023, at approximately 4:20 p.m. The incident occurred at an address in the 1000 Block of Townsley Street, resulting in the loss of two lives. Joseph Profit, aged 48, was subjected to multiple gunshots at the mentioned location and was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the scene. Robin Hayes, aged 52, also sustained injuries from the shooting and was immediately transported to a local hospital, but sadly succumbed to her wounds later on.

At present, the motive behind this distressing event and the identity of the suspect remains unknown, prompting the ongoing efforts of the authorities to uncover the truth.
