Detectives in Louisiana Asking For Help Identifying Shooter After a Man Was Shot While Taking Out the Trash

St John the Baptist Parish, Louisiana – Detectives in Louisiana are asking for help in identifying the shooter after a man was shot while taking out the trash.

The St John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office (SJSO) stated on May 18, 2023, that Detectives are investigating a shooting incident that occurred on May 17, 2023, at around 11:45 p.m., in the 300 block of St. James Place in LaPlace, Louisiana, in which a 35-year-old male was injured.

According to SJSO reports, police arrived to find an injured male inside a home with a gunshot wound to his hand. The victim stated that he was taking out the trash when he was fired at from a nearby yard. The victim was taken to a local hospital by emergency personnel, where he was treated and released.

Police also reportedly discovered a vehicle with multiple bullet holes in it.
