Detectives in Baton Rouge Asking For Help Identifying Person Involved in May 18 Homicide on Highland Road

Baton Rouge, Louisiana – Detectives in Baton Rouge are asking for help in identifying the person involved in a homicide on Highland Road that occurred on May 18.

According to the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD), Homicide Detectives are looking into the shooting death of Davanta Matthews, 28, on May 18 at roughly 10:18 p.m. in the 3000 Block of Highland Road.

According to BRDP, Matthews was discovered dead from apparent gunshot wounds on the second story of a parking garage.

At this moment, neither the motive nor the suspect are known.
