DeQuincy, Louisiana - DeQuincy residents who were looking forward to participating in the annual National Night Out event on October 31 will have to wait a little longer. The event has been cancelled due to the possibility of inclement weather, and a new date has been set.

National Night Out, a nationwide event that aims to build relationships between law enforcement and the community, was initially scheduled for October 31. However, with the threat of bad weather looming, organizers decided to err on the side of caution and reschedule the event.

The event will now take place on Friday, December 6, as part of the Dickens in DeQuincy Christmas festivities. This merge of events will bring together the community for a fun-filled evening of holiday celebrations and an opportunity to meet with local law enforcement.
