The Only Supermoon of 2017
On Sunday, December 3 going into Monday, December 4 of 2017 we got a beautiful view of the only Supermoon to occur this year. A Supermoon is when our Moon reaches it’s closest distance to Earth while there is also a full Moon. This makes the Moon appear to be slightly larger in the sky than usual.
While the Southwest Louisiana weather didn’t make for great viewing of the only Supermoon of the year, I was still able to get a few photos through the clouds.
