The affected area was located between Thompson Road and Pete Seay Road. The Carlyss Fire Department remained on the scene, coordinating efforts with the Office of Emergency Preparedness, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Center Point Energy, and representatives from the Carlyss Water District. By 1:05 p.m., the Carlyss Fire Department reported that the leak had been contained, and the road had reopened to traffic.
