Traffic Now Moving in Both Directions After Crashes Blocked Lanes in Both Directions on I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge on October 12

UPDATE: The crashes have been cleared from the roadway and traffic is moving in both directions.

Lake Charles, Louisiana - As of 5:45 pm on October 10., 2023, lanes on the I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge remain blocked in both directions due to crashes in the eastbound and westbound lanes.

The eastbound lanes on the I-10 Bridge were completely blocked at 5:45 pm, with no traffic moving. I-10 eastbound is backed up to near Cities Service Hwy (LA108) in Sulphur.

The westbound lanes on the I-10 Bridge were partially blocked at 5:45 pm, with traffic moving very slowly. I-10 westbound traffic was backed up to near US 171 in Lake Charles.
