Crash in Westlake Involving Motorcycle Claims Life of Lake Charles Man

From the Westlake Police Department Chief of Police Christopher Wilrye – On Friday, May 7, 2021, at 10:03 pm the Westlake Police Department was notified of a traffic accident at the corner of Sampson Street and Sulphur Ave. Upon arrival, officers observed a motorcycle involved in an accident with a blue truck pulling a trailer. 62-year-old Ronald H. Myers, of Lake Charles, was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is still ongoing and toxicology results are pending.
