City of Sulphur to Temporarily Disable Water Services to Rebuild Water Tank Supply

SULPHUR, LA – Residents of Sulphur are advised that water services will be temporarily disabled starting at 7:00 PM this evening, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. City officials said that this interruption is necessary to allow local water plants to rebuild the water tank supply. The outage is expected to start at 7 PM and to last approximately three to five hours.

City officials have emphasized the importance of this maintenance work, which is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of the water supply. The maintenance period will provide an opportunity for the water plants to replenish their reserves. Water tanks are critical components of a city's water supply system, storing treated water until it is needed for distribution to homes and businesses.
