On Sunday, February 21, 2021, at 6:30 pm the City of Sulphur announced that the boil advisory for those within the city limits of Sulphur has been lifted.
Original advisory:
From the City of Sulphur – Although water pressure is continuing to rise, we are still asking residents to conserve water until levels return to normal. We are still currently under a boil advisory within the city limits of Sulphur and will notify residents as soon as the boil advisory has been lifted. Please keep the following items in mind this weekend:
- Turn off faucets when we are no longer under a hard freeze warning.
- As pipes continue to thaw, we may see an increase in water leaks and busted pipes and that will cause water to be wasted very quickly, in the event of a busted pipe in your home please turn the water off at the cut-off.
- To report a water leak please call 337-527-4583 during business hours and 337-527-4582 after hours.
- Due to the inclement weather we experienced, debris pick-up has been temporarily halted. We are still on schedule for the last pass for residential hurricane debris collection to start on March 7th and are recommending residents have the remainder of their hurricane debris to the public right-of-way no later than March 6th.
