Published February 8, 2022

Sulphur, LA – Effective February 9, 2022, the City of Sulphur will be repairing a water leak that will affect the following streets: Garth Drive, West Scott Drive, South Scott Drive, Louis Alleman Parkway. Residents and Businesses will experience no water to low water pressure. The City of Sulphur is issuing a Precautionary Boil Advisory for the affected streets.

If you lose water pressure in this area, run faucets until water runs clear then take precautions and boil water before consumption.

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one-minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle, pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a small pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled).

The City of Sulphur will notify the affected areas once clear samples have been received from the State Laboratory.
