Sulphur, Louisiana – Residents in part of Sulphur should prepare for potential disruptions in their water service this weekend. The City has announced that maintenance work at the North Water Plant will result in lower than normal water pressure for those living east of Beglis Parkway. This scheduled maintenance is set to begin on Friday, March 14th at 10:00 PM and will conclude by Saturday, March 15th at 5:00 AM.

During this time, residents in the affected area may notice a significant decrease in water pressure, which could affect daily activities such as showering, cooking, and cleaning. City officials have advised those experiencing complete loss of water pressure to contact the City of Sulphur Water Plant at 337-313-1153 for further assistance and information.

The maintenance work is crucial for ensuring the long-term reliability and efficiency of the water supply for the community. Regular maintenance helps prevent future incidents that could lead to more severe disruptions in service. The City of Sulphur is committed to maintaining high standards in its water services and assures residents that these temporary inconveniences are necessary for their overall benefit.

Residents are encouraged to prepare accordingly for the maintenance period. This may include filling containers with water ahead of time for essential needs during the expected hours of lower pressure.
