Sulphur, Louisiana - Due to recent storms, the City of Sulphur has announced the temporary closure of Cities Service Highway between Dubach Drive to Summerwood Drive until the evening of May 16th, 2024. This closure is necessary for the replacement of power lines in the area.

The decision to close this stretch of Cities Service Highway was made to address the damage caused by the recent severe weather, which has resulted in the need for urgent repairs. The replacement of power lines is a crucial step in maintaining the reliability of the electrical grid and preventing any potential hazards to residents and businesses in the vicinity.

During this period of closure, residents who need to access Walmart are advised to utilize the north entrance closest to Highway 90 as an alternative route. This temporary adjustment aims to minimize inconvenience for individuals who rely on this route for their daily activities while ensuring the safety of all road users during the repair process.
