City of Lake Charles Announces Deadline for FEMA Private Property Debris Removal
Lake Charles, Louisiana – The City of Lake Charles announced on July 6, 2022, that the deadline for applying for FEMA’s Private Property Debris Removal (PPDR) for City of Lake Charles residents is Friday, July 15, 2022.
Since last summer, the program, which includes the removal of potentially eligible storm-generated debris from private property as well as the demolition of potentially eligible storm-damaged homes, has been accepting applications.
During this time, City Inspectors have conducted a number of proactive sweeps throughout the city to identify potentially eligible properties and to work with property owners on the process of filing their applications for the programs.
