Baton Rouge, Louisiana – On February 26, Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry announced a significant partnership he said is designed to enhance the fiscal management of state resources. This collaboration involves the Governor’s Fiscal Responsibility Program and the Louisiana Legislative Auditor (LLA), with a focus on identifying and implementing strategies for efficiency, waste reduction, and cost optimization within government operations.

Steve Orlando, appointed as the state’s Fiscal Responsibility Czar, expressed that the initiative aims to ensure that government functions are not only effective but also fiscally responsible.

Governor Landry, Orlando, and the LLA are actively encouraging Louisiana residents to play a role in this initiative. Citizens are invited to submit their insights, recommendations, and even critiques regarding the state’s fiscal management. Suggestions can be sent via email to [email protected], allowing citizens to contribute their perspectives on how to enhance Louisiana’s fiscal future.

“It is wonderful to see the Louisiana Legislative Auditor stepping up to aid in the Governor’s fiscal responsibility mission. I am eager for our teams to get together and begin finding ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of Louisiana’s government, said Fiscal Responsibility Czar Steve Orlando. “Working together, I am confident we will deliver on Governor Landry’s promise of a more productive and responsible state government.”
