Westlake, Louisiana – As part of an effort to streamline and improve its services, the City of Westlake will be switching to a new credit card company this December. For residents who currently have automatic credit card payments set up for their utility bills, it’s essential to take note of this change.
The transition to the new credit card company will not automatically transfer existing automatic credit card payments. As a result, residents who have set up automatic payments will need to take action to ensure their payments continue uninterrupted. To avoid any potential disruptions, those affected by this change are advised to contact the Utility Department at (337) 433-0691 or visit their office located at 1001 Bob Hardey Drive.
However, the City of Westlake has indicated that for residents who currently use the auto draft payment method, which allows for automatic payments to be deducted directly from their bank accounts, no action is required. The city’s auto draft system will transfer seamlessly to the new credit card company, ensuring that payments continue to be processed without any issues. Moreover, the auto draft option comes at no charge to residents, making it a convenient and cost-effective payment solution.
In light of this change, residents are encouraged to review their current payment arrangements and make any necessary adjustments to avoid any potential disruptions.
