Several local residents have been asking about the smoke and the odor of something burning in Southwest Louisiana. There have also been reports of calls to area fire departments that may be connected to the smoke and odor.
Authorities have indicated that the smoke and smell are coming from a marsh fire in Cameron Parish, and the wind is carrying it in the direction of Lake Charles.
