Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury announced that residential solid waste convenience centers will resume regular operating hours beginning Thursday, Nov. 6.

The two convenience centers will operate Thursday through Monday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with closures on Tuesday and Wednesday each week. This schedule applies to both locations serving Calcasieu Parish residents.

The facilities are located at 2915 Post Oak Road in Sulphur and 5500 B Swift Plant Road in Lake Charles. Both sites serve as drop-off points for residential solid waste, providing convenient disposal options for parish residents.

Access to these convenience centers is restricted to Calcasieu Parish residents only. Officials require visitors to present valid identification upon arrival to verify residency. The policy explicitly prohibits contractors from using these facilities.

The Calcasieu Parish Police Jury operates these centers as part of the parish's solid waste management program. The convenience centers accept various household waste materials, helping residents maintain proper waste disposal practices.

Residents seeking additional information about acceptable materials, disposal guidelines, or facility operations can contact the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury.
