Calcasieu Parish Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers Extend Hours for Daylight Saving Time

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - In a recent announcement, the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury revealed that the Residential Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be extending their operating hours starting Thursday, March 14. This adjustment aims to provide residents with increased convenience during Daylight Saving Time.

The new operational hours for the centers will be from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. These centers, located at 2915 Post Oak Road in Sulphur and 5500 B Swift Plant Road in Lake Charles, will be open to residents weekly from Thursday to Monday. However, they will remain closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

It is important to note that these facilities cater exclusively to Calcasieu Parish residents. Upon arrival, residents will be required to present identification. Contractors are not permitted at these centers.
