Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Update on Possible Murder-Suicide On January 11, 2019, in South Lake Charles
CPSO INVESTIGATING POSSIBLE MURDER/SUICIDE
AT HOME IN SOUTH LAKE CHARLES
From CPSO: At approximately 2:00 this morning, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home at 5832 Bennie Lane in Lake Charles in regard to a man, David M. Pendley, 52, who had stabbed his son, 24.
When deputies arrived, the son was at the neighbor’s house. He was transported to a local hospital by ambulance. Deputies made entry into the home and located the father and his wife, Katherine Pendley, 59, both deceased.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages; however, at this point in the investigation detectives believe it is a possible murder-suicide where Pendley killed his wife then killed himself.
The son has been released from the hospital.
CPSO Detective Casey Lafargue is the lead investigator on this case.
