Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office is set to host the Jr. Deputy Academy in September 2023.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced that it will be hosting its Jr. Deputy Academy for children ages 11 to 14.
According to CPSO, the program teaches children the importance of their roles as citizens in our community by teaching leadership skills and the value of teamwork.
This program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain a comprehensive understanding of the important roles played by CPSO deputies in our community. Through this program, attendees will be empowered with good moral character, integrity, and strong leadership skills.
The program is set to begin on September 16 at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office, located at 5400 E. Broad Street in Lake Charles. The meet and greet session will commence at 8:30 a.m., followed by seven consecutive Saturday classes. A parent or guardian must be present during the program.
