Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office to Host Annual Youth Fishing Derby
Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 7 a.m. until 11 a.m. Sheriff Tony Mancuso and the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Youth & DARE Divisions are hosting the Annual Youth Fishing Derby. The free event will take place at the CPSO Pond, behind the Calcasieu Correctional Center, at 5400 E. Broad Street in Lake Charles (Map with directions below).
Participants will need to bring their own fishing gear, ice chest, and lawn chairs. Shrimp and liver for bait will be provided at the event, and snacks and drinks will be available as well. The first 100 participants to enter will also receive a free t-shirt.
The Yout Fishing Derby is open to youth 15 years of age and younger.
