Lake Charles, Louisiana – A hit-and-run crash in Lake Charles has prompted the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) to seek the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a truck involved in the incident. On Sunday, September 8, at approximately 9:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a gas station on Gerstner Memorial Drive in Lake Charles, Louisiana in response to a report of a hit and run.
According to the initial investigation, the driver of a white Ford F-150 truck drove into the brick building, causing significant damages. The driver then fled the scene, leaving behind no information or identification. The complainant, who reported the incident, provided deputies with a description of the truck and its direction of travel.
CPSO detectives are now urging anyone with information related to this case to come forward. They are asking witnesses or individuals who may have seen the truck or its driver to contact the CPSO at 337-491-3605.
An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
