The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is searching for the identity of a vehicle burglary and theft suspect in an October 31 case in Moss Bluff.
On October 31 a Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy was dispatched to a home on North Michael Square in Moss Bluff. Once on scene, the deputy spoke with the complainant who stated on Tuesday, October 29 sometime during the night an unknown man gained access to her car and stole two bank cards along with a pair of sunglasses. The victim also advised the deputy the suspect attempted to use the stolen cards at a grocery store on Highway 14 in Lake Charles the day after the burglary.
The deputy viewed surveillance footage from the home and observed an unknown man enter the victim’s car by opening the door, which had been left unlocked. The deputy then observed the suspect leave the scene in what appeared to be a newer model green Kia Soul.
