Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Responds to Threat at F.K. White Middle School, Student Arrested

Lake Charles, Louisiana – A 14-year-old student at F.K. White Middle School in Lake Charles, Louisiana was arrested for allegedly making a threat to shoot up a football game scheduled for this evening. According to the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO), detectives responded to the school at approximately 10:30 a.m. after receiving a report of the threat.

As part of their investigation, detectives learned that the suspect had made the threat while on school grounds. Further investigation led to the student’s arrest and subsequent booking into the Juvenile Detention Center. The suspect has been charged with terrorizing-menacing, a charge that involves making threats to harm others with the intent to intimidate or alarm.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
