Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Releases Identity of Body Found in West Fork of Calcasieu River

From CPSO – On March 28 around noon Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies received a call in reference to a possible body floating in the West Fork River off Frank Parker Road in Sulphur. When deputies arrived they observed what appeared to be a body floating in the river. CPSO Marine Division arrived on the scene and located a deceased male.
After further investigation, the body has been identified as Robert J. Perkins, 41, Reeves. There appeared to be no signs of trauma and foul play is not suspected. The cause and manner of death are pending the coroner’s investigation.
CPSO Detective Keeba Barber is the lead investigator on this case.
