Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Recognizes Outstanding Deputies for Their Accomplishments and Service in 2024

Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana — On May 15, 2025, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) honored several deputies and staff members during its Annual Law Enforcement Awards Ceremony, held under the leadership of Sheriff Stitch Guillory. The event highlighted the dedication, professionalism, and exceptional achievements of the department’s personnel in 2024.

Deputy of the Year Awards by Division

Each year, CPSO selects one outstanding individual from each division to receive the Department Deputy of the Year award. The 2024 recipients are:

  • Deputy Rebekah Thierry – Support Services
  • Lt. Andrae Mitchell – Corrections
  • Lt. Tiffany LaCaze – Special Services
  • Sgt. Nick Jones – Special Operations
  • Detective Rodney Daigle, Jr. – Specialized Investigations
  • Detective Mika Liptak – Investigations
  • Sr. Cpl. Amanda Breland – Enforcement
  • Deputy Sarah Mace – Administrative Services
  • Deputy Roxanne Baumgarten – Judicial Services
  • Cpl. Ashley Guidry – Strategic Operations
  • Deputy Val Harrelson – Technical Operations

Among these distinguished honorees, Deputy Rebekah Thierry was also recognized as the overall Deputy of the Year for the entire Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office. This dual recognition underscores Thierry’s exceptional commitment to her duties and her impact across departmental lines.

Professional Support Staff Employee of the Year

The ceremony also recognized the vital contributions of non-sworn staff. Deputy Emily Doty was named the Professional Support Staff Employee of the Year, highlighting her key behind-the-scenes role in supporting law enforcement operations.

20 Years of Dedicated Service

In addition to annual achievement awards, CPSO honored deputies who have reached a milestone of 20 years with the department. Those recognized for two decades of service include Andrew Arabie, Chasity Corbello, Charles DeVillier, Carl Goodley, Ashley Guidry, Lukas Josker, Tricia Lognion, Joshua Manuel, Ryan Mareno, Jeremy Nunez, Ron Piatt, Kim Qualls, and Scott Rosteet. These individuals exemplify long-term dedication to public safety in Calcasieu Parish.

Sheriff Guillory Commends Staff Excellence

Sheriff Stitch Guillory expressed his appreciation for the department’s staff, stating, “The strength of CPSO lies in the dedication and professionalism of the men and women who serve our community every day. We are fortunate to have so many outstanding deputies here at CPSO that selecting just a few to recognize each year is never easy. It is an honor to highlight these deputies who go above and beyond in their duties.
