Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Looking for Man Responsible for Shoplifting in Lake Charles on June 15

On June 15, 2020, Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched to a store on West Prien Lake Road in Lake Charles in reference to shoplifting.
Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant who stated an unknown man stole a set of Callaway Apex irons worth approximately $1,400. Detectives viewed video surveillance and observed the suspect stealing the irons the previous day, Sunday, June 14 around noon.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for assistance in identifying the man. If anyone knows his identity, please call Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office lead Detective Charles Trosclair at 491-3605 or Crime Stoppers at 439-2222
On July 6 CPSO arrested, and booked a Lake Charles man into the Calcasieu Correctional Center charged with 2nd-degree kidnapping; and attempted 1st-degree robbery.
Thursday, July 16, 2020, from 11 am until 1 pm at the Lake Charles Civic Center United Way of Southwest Louisiana and Second Harvest Food Bank will host a contact-free, drive-thru grocery box distribution for A.L.I.C.E. community members experiencing food insecurity.
