Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Asking For Help Identifying Hit-and-Run Driver at Casino in Lake Charles
Lake Charles, Louisiana – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying the driver involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred at a casino in Lake Charles.
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) reported on May 26, 2023, that it is investigating a hit and run that occurred the morning of Sunday, May 7, in a casino parking lot located on Highway 397 in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
During the initial inquiry, investigators discovered that a car, possibly a 2001-2007 Ford Taurus, was backing up and colliding with a parked vehicle. Detectives from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office attempted but failed to locate the vehicle.
Authorities are asking that anyone who recognizes the car in the photos or has information about the case contact CPSO at (337) 491-3846 and reference case number 23-51267.
Sgt. Casey Steech of the CPSO is the case’s principal investigator.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
