Lake Charles, Louisiana – Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives went to a nearby hospital on April 10 after receiving a report about a 3-month-old baby with several fractures and signs of being malnourished, which indicated possible child abuse.

In the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the child was mostly under the supervision of Haiden K. Wilson, aged 19, from Westlake, Louisiana, and Isabella L. Fox, aged 20, from Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Following further inquiry, Wilson and Fox surrendered themselves on May 3 and were taken into custody. They were charged with 2nd-degree cruelty to a juvenile and were placed in the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Their bonds were set at $100,000 by Judge Tony Fazzio. Wilson was released on bail on May 8, while Fox remains in custody.

The Department of Children & Family Services placed the victim in the care of a family member.

Detective Kara Adams from the Special Victims Unit of CPSO is in charge of leading the investigation in this case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
