Lake Charles, La. – A 41‑year‑old Lake Charles resident was arrested on Feb. 26 after a coordinated operation by the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit (SVU), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Louisiana State Police. The operation targeted individuals attempting to lure minors for sexual activity.
Detectives from the SVU’s Special Victims Unit, led by senior sergeant Alexander Vincent, worked with federal and state partners to set up a sting at a local park. Nathan A. Brown, 41, allegedly traveled to the park to meet a juvenile for sexual purposes. Police apprehended Brown before any contact could occur.
Brown was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with indecent behavior with juveniles, a felony under Louisiana law. Judge Tony Fazzio set a cash bond of $200,000.
The operation is part of an ongoing effort by law‑enforcement agencies to combat online and in‑person solicitation of minors. The FBI’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force and the Louisiana State Police’s Special Enforcement Division provided investigative support, including digital forensics and surveillance.
All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
