Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrests Lake Charles Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting a Minor Family Member

Lake Charles, Louisiana - The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office received a report on September 26 about an incident involving Clint E. Ashworth, 45, from Lake Charles, Louisiana, who was accused of sexually assaulting a family member under the age of 15 earlier this year.

Following an extensive investigation, Ashworth was arrested and taken into custody on November 29 at the Calcasieu Correctional Center. He has been charged with aggravated crime against nature and his bond has been set at $1.5 million by Judge Tony Fazzio. The investigation is ongoing, with CPSO Detective Sonny Schiro leading the case.

An arrest is an indication that probable cause exists to believe the subject was involved in the offense alleged. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
