Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Deputy Terminated After Refusing to Cooperate with Internal Investigation

From CPSO – Sunday, October 4, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m. Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested CPSO Deputy Melissa Romero for DWI 1st refusal after an investigation into a single-vehicle crash involving a marked CPSO unit, while she was off-duty, near the intersection of E. Burton Street and Goodley Road in Sulphur.
Melissa worked as a Corporal on Patrol and had been with the department for approximately 14 years before being terminated by Sheriff Tony Mancuso today after refusing to cooperate in the Internal Affairs investigation.
