Calcasieu Parish Schools Closed March 22 Due to Threat of Severe Weather

On March 21, 2022, the Calcasieu Parish School Board announced that following the afternoon’s weather briefing, they are concerned about the threat of severe weather tomorrow, specifically during the morning hours leading up to arrival time at our schools. All Calcasieu Parish schools and facilities will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, March 22, due to these concerns.

They said that the safety of students, faculty, and staff is their primary focus, and feel that closing school is in their best interest.

CPSB plans to reopen schools on Wednesday, March 23.
