Calcasieu Parish School Board Announces New Superintendent to Take Over on July 1
Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana – On June 8, 2022, the Calcasieu Parish School Board announced that effective July 1, 2022, Dr. Shannon LaFargue will be the new superintendent of the Calcasieu Parish School Board. On May 26, school board members chose Dr. LaFargue to replace retiring superintendent Karl Bruchhaus. Yesterday evening, board members finalized Dr. LaFargue’s contract. Dr. LaFargue is the district’s Chief Academic Officer and was previously the Chief Operating Officer.
